Who needs this?

Documentation managers and managing directors who want to pilot AI, rework their translation strategy, tackle the Machinery Regulation 2027 or identify a CCMS need in the next 6 to 18 months – and who need a solid starting point for it instead of gut feeling. Also useful when there is internal disagreement about the direction and an external inventory helps to decide.

How we proceed

  1. Kick-off and data collection (weeks 1–2)A structured survey of all document types, languages, tools and responsibilities. Interviews with technical writing, engineering, service and IT.
  2. Maturity-level analysis (weeks 3–4)An assessment of your current content against the 5-level model (level 0 Word world through level 4 iiRDS delivery). Identification of the three biggest bottlenecks.
  3. Roadmap workshop (weeks 5–6)Joint prioritisation of the measures with a leverage rating. What comes before what, with which effort estimate and which expected benefit.
  4. Final report (weeks 7–8)Structured documentation of the findings plus a roadmap for 12 to 24 months. Handover in a final workshop, then ready for internal use.

What you hold in your hand at the end

Content inventoryA complete list of document types, languages, volumes and tools.
Maturity-level ratingA clear placement of your current status against the industry maturity model.
Bottleneck analysisThe three biggest bottlenecks with a leverage rating and the effort to resolve them.
Roadmap 12–24 monthsPrioritised measures with sequence, effort and expected benefit.

Frequently asked questions

Do we really need the assessment?

If you start an AI adoption, a translation strategy or a CCMS project without a clear data basis, you increase the risk considerably. A clean assessment often prevents 18 months of rework in the wrong place.

How much of our own effort do we need to contribute?

Per week, 2 to 4 hours of interview time per key person, plus providing sample documents. In total, typically 30 to 50 hours of internal work over the entire duration.

What is included in the price?

The complete audit, all workshops, travel to Beverungen or to you, the final report and the handover workshop. No additional hourly invoices.

Can you also offer the assessment as a precursor to a specific project?

Yes, that is in fact the standard path. Assessment first, then pilot, then scaling. The assessment is credited against the follow-up engagement.

What if the assessment reveals a CCMS need?

Schübeler Consulting does not run standalone CCMS selection procedures. We refer you to specialised partners who have supported this discipline vendor-independently for years. The assessment gives you the requirements clarity that every CCMS selection needs.

Initial consultation — one hour, free of charge

In 60 minutes we clarify your specific situation. At the end you receive a written assessment of one A4 page that you can use to move forward internally.
